Need some help with Kydex

I am making my first Kydex sheath for a friend of mine. He wants a heavy leather belt loop attached to the kydex for the flexibility of the leather. Im sure i can make the sheath but im not sure of the best way to attach the leather and with what to attach it with. Anyone have any experience with this? I would appreciate the help. Thanks Boo

I agree with Mike on the attachment method.

The problem your going to run into with a leather beltloop on a kydex sheath is the flexibility. I understand that you said the individual whats a flexible beltloop, but think about the problems...... The leather is going to give much more than a kydex beltloop would, and chances are very good that in order to draw the knife...its going to take two hands. I only know because I did this at a person's request, and within a week he was calling complaining about the sheath, and that he had to use two hands to get the knife out becuase the beltloop would not hold the sheath rigid. Not trying to shoot your idea in the foot, but I've been there and done that, and it just doesn't work well.
