The last of 2009 and the first of 2010.....

Wild Rose Trading Co - Handcrafted Knife Sheaths

The beautiful sheaths created for storing the knife elevate the knife one step higher. It celebrates the knife it houses.

Chuck, my friend, I always knew there was a reason I did not go into the frontier type of leathercraft. There would be no call for the work I would do compared to that crafted by you. You have NO PEERS, and I do mean --NO PEERS-- in this line of craftmanship. That you headed this thread "Here's some for Sandy" has great meaning for me, for many reasons. I do consider you as a knifemaker that sheaths your genius with leather of equal quality as being a rarity in the industry. In over 65 years doing that which I love, never have I met one so dedicated or so generous with help to those who request information. Few makers research for the authenticity that you display in all of your artistry which sets you apart from all but a few.

Having been a guest in your home and cherishing the friendship we established, gives reason to why I refer to you and Linda as my children----of which I am very proud!

I hope that this does not embarrass you, dear friend, but I want it known what you mean to me---and to all others involved in the crafts---while I am still able! Thank you, my son!!

Great work as usual Chuck. Always love your combinations of color and textures. Might I ask is that a pewter bolster on the 2010 knife. Really like the shape and patina.
