So, I build a HT oven

A couple of people mentioned in another thread that they wanted to see some pictures of a HT oven I built. So, here is a design I made in SketchUp and the final result. I took pictures throughout the build to chronicle the steps along the way, so I might just put up a thread at a later time for that.

Not an easy feat R&R. What did you use for the heat elements, a pre-made set from Paragon or Even Heat? O)f course there are the clay kiln elements too.

I bought some Kanthal A1 wire off of EBAY and coiled it myself. In the attachments below you'll see my coiling "jig" (which was just a dowel rod in a drill) and the end result of one of the coils (I made two of them).

Somewhere north of $500 for everything. I bought extra kaowool and firebrick for future work, so my cost was a bit more. Plus, I ended buying an extra enclosure for the electronics because I thought my first was too small after I wired it all up. I didn't include the tools I ended buying (multimeter, wire stripper, crimps, etc) as well. This was my first electronics project, so I basically started from the ground level on it.

I am impressed, making your own coils isn't in my wheelhouse. Good job!
