Halp! I'm losing emails somehow
This little problem just started about a week ago: I'll turn on my computer, and have some mail in my inbox. I can read each of them, and switch back and forth and such. However, if I leave the Inbox, when I come back to it the emails I left in it are gone to another planet I guess. My solution was to make another Inbox for the new emails. When I get some, I just move the new ones over to the new inbox, but I shouldn't have to do that. I looked under Tools and Options, and didn't find anything there to help, then looked at the "View" heading, but nothing there has helped.
You guys/gals have any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?? |

What program are you using to read e-mail?

Robert, if you go into "accounts" under the tools menu and switch the the mail tab you should see your email account listed. If you select it and click the propteries button and then go under the "servers" tab, can you tell me if your incoming mail server is set to pop3 or imap?
if it's pop3 can you click on the advanced tab and tell me if the box labeled "leave a copy of messages on server" is checked? If we can't figure it out on here, I've done a bit of email tech support in my day, if you want I can get on the phone with you and go over your settings. It usually doen't take more than 10 minutes on the phone to find the problem. __________________ Cap Hayes See my knives @ knives.caphayes.com This quote pains me: -- "Strategically placed blood grooves control blood spray in covert deanimation activities." -- |

Not too late for me, just cooking lunch for tomorrow, I'll give you a call.
