Whether Pakistan is a "terrorist state" or not isn't really the problem here. The problem is that there are some well documented cases where thieves have ripped off knifemakers on KNet. There are indications that some of these thieves are following the guidance of Al Qaida, perhaps even using the money to help fund terrorist activities. (To be fair, we've also seen a rip-off artist from Israel sting a member or two, and there have been some Americans doing the same.) What it boils down to is that some proper caution is needed when dealing with someone unknown that lives on the other side of the planet.
The initial post on KNet for this damascus salesman is written in poor English - perhaps indicating that he hasn't done much business here - and does not include his real name, address, or other contact information. That has to make one suspicious.
Further, we have been flooded in this country with very cheap and very poor quality knives from Pakistan and communist China. That doesn't do much to enhance your reputation.
IF YOU ARE A LEGITIMATE DAMASCUS PRODUCER, you will need to establish that you are honest and open, and that your product is truely one of quality.
