Alex Daniels Titanium Folder

This folder was done for a collector friend.

The photo illustrates the high contrast, black
background that we've been discussing in previous
posts.

The design is generally termed "Arabesque", which
translated means, "..an intricate or elaborate pattern
or design".

The inlay is mother of pearl, not ivory. The camera
shot unfortunately washed out the iridescence in the
pearl.

This type of engraving is often coined as the
"cadillac" of engraving styles. It is time-consuming,
complex to lay out and it costs. It is also one of my
favorite design choices for the "right" knife.
