Big thanks
I really like this sub forum...........talking about photography.
I spend a fair bit of time on British Blades and we dont have a photography area....which is sad ....often you see great knives represented by naff pics. Clearly there are a few really ace photographers here ( you know who you are) but for me its great to be able to combine two interests ...knife making and photography. When I feel brave enough I will post some pics...I have a few knife projects on the go and Im just about to upgrade photgraphic equipment in my home studio. Its interesting I have been in advertising and design all my life as a designer and art director.........and I have art directed top photographers in studios and on location many 100s of times. So I always knew what I wanted to get in terms of the pic....the right mood, pic configuration and layout and pitching the flavour of the pic to work with the product. But the technical side of things were always left to the specialist photograher ( the good guys always added to the creative process as well ) I am now working hard to get this side of the equation up to speed. Hey, Barry. There are some top-notch people here that are always ready, willing and able to give advice. I've learned a lot here, too.

Welcome Barry,
This sub-forum may be small but it's been a terrific place to learn and share without any of the typical and discouraging forumite dynamics. Looking forward to your participation! Buddy |
