Preload a spring

Hello all I am asking for direction in placing a spring in a Boker. Seems I may need to preload the .50 maxtorq I am trying to install.

If you're drilling the blade, I recommend that you add 10-15% pre-load. Others may differ, but that works for most of the models that I do.
