GPC Silver Streak

Mirror polish, jeweled most everywhere, silver twill G-10, we don't need no stinkin' bolsters!! Actually, the G-10 was a sample piece that wasn't quite big enough to cover the entire liner, very little wasted material here, but since it is so different than anything I've seen, it was time for a little innovation so to speak. This knife feels very good in the hand believe it or not, although this treatment has made the knife slightly blade heavy. I apologize for the photo's, I am not and will never claim to be a photographer, this thing is very hard to get good pictures of. Photo quality shouldn't hurt in the contest anyways!!
Thanks for lookin'
Dan

Dazzled!!!

Dan,

Now THAT'S thinking out of the box! Super-duper job on all the surface finishing, and great choice of combinations. This knife is a 'Rock Star' !!!! The heat is on.....!

I added a stainless, mirror polished backstrap to this, came out real good, so I sold it. I could probably get it back for the ongoing?? contest if needed, but it probably wouldn't be in contest condition. I told the buyer to use it, don't think he will damage the jeweling.

silver twill G10

BigDB, when you shaped the Silver twill G10, did you wind up sanding past the color?. Does the pattern go all the way through to the other side?. I just wondered if it allows much shaping and sanding and still maintain the pattern.

No, the pattern seems to be consistent all the way through. Pretty neat looking stuff!!
