Is this anvil a good deal?
I have been thinking about getting into knife making and I'm shocked by how much anvils cost. I've been checking craigslist off and on (mostly off) for about 6 month and have never seen an anvil even close to a price range I'd consider.
Tonight however I found this Peter Wright 100lb anvil for $400 which seems like a great deal. It's more than I'm really looking to spend so I'm not sure if I'm willing to buy it but it seems like that is a good enough price that even if I make a couple knives and decide I'm not interested in making any more I could sell the anvil for what I spent without too much effort. Thoughts, how is the condition, if this a good deal or a normal price for other similar anvils, is it hard to find buyers interested in anvils? http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/tls/5968437987.html |
