Show Forum

How about a forum dedicated to upcoming regional and national shows? Maybe a sticky at the top listing future event dates and locations, and a place to talk about who will be there, table numbers, and where we are meeting for dinner and who wants to share a room.

Traffic on such a forum would be light at times, but I never know where to post related items in the current setup.

Thumbs up

Sounds great. There's alot of shows out there that many people aren't aware of. Good place to find out who, where, when! Tim

Sounds like a perfect spot for a 'Community' post. Now if we only had some interest.....

I've thought this would be a fine addition since joining.

Actually, I thought that it should be a regular feature in the newsletter. Mentioning the next month or 2 shows, dates, adress etc.

I agree, Jerry, but it would also be cool to have a place to talk about shows; the newsletter is a one-way street.

A show board would be a good idea, but slack at times. Where do we want to go with this ... you guys choose!

Don,

I guess that I missed this thread the first time around but I agree that we need something on the future shows. I don't think a forum is justified because of the slack times but something like a calendar which could list people going to each show as well as comments would be great.

I apologize for the redundancy of the new thread on this subject but second the thoughts on this one.

Gary

I agree with Coop that it would be good to have a Community Forum and certainly shows would be a perfect thing to discuss in this forum.

When are the shows, who's going, trends for a particular show, the collectors could chime in with what they are looking for.

It could enhance the quality of the show and more importantly the bottom line, if you a prepared for a particular show with the knives geared for that show.
