Small area to type message.

When using either Explorer or Netscape, when I type a message, the window for typing is only about 1/3 the available width. The window starts on the left and ends under the QUOTE button. The entire area to the right is blank but unusable.

My messages are really narrow and I have to scroll down to reread even fairly short messages before sending.

Anyone know why?

Is it justKnifewife trying to keep me to short messages?

Is it Alex's way of messing with me?

Is it Bob Doggett just trying to have fun?

Is it OSAMA?????????????????????

It's because of your screen resolution. The message box is standard size for vBulletin, but it's a none-scaleable text area. It's not small if your screen resoultion is 640x480, even at 800x600 it's at least half the woidth of the screen. I'm guessing you're using 1024x768 or higher res.

You guessed my resolution right on.

So that means I am stuck with it, doesn't it? I really like the resolution I use for everything else and don't want to change it for "ONE" thing and change "Everything" else.

OH well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm running a beauty of a Mitsubishi 19" monitor at 1152x854, which makes the test area tiny too. You just get used to it after a while
