help dating model 1

Gentlemen, I recently acquired this Randall model 1.
I would like to know more about its age, and anything else you can tell me!
thanks in advance.

Very nice piece, Rigbone. It's from the mid 60's through 1972. The sheath is what is known as a "roughback" made by Randall supplier Maurice Johnson. The sharpening stone is original. Use or covet at your pleasure.

Best to leave the leather alone, but keep it dry. Remove any green verdigris around the snaps with a toothpick. Get some "Renaissance Wax" and apply it to the blade (Thin coat. Let it dry and buff lightly). Wouldn't hurt to put the same wax on the leather discs that make up the handle. IMO she'll keep fine then.
