Has anyone used Resinwood from USA Knife Makers?

I saw this material at USA Knife Maker and was wondering if anyone here has used it. It seems a lot like a combination of micarta and wood. Here is a link to it.

It comes in a few different colors and a few layered colors. I was wondering if it was like micarta. They claim it is food prep safe. Just throwing it out there. Always interested in something new. With the Dymondwood factory burnt down and what's left of it is all that is available I was wondering if this might be a good substitute even though it needs more color variation.

From reading the description it would seem to be a product like Dymondwood but using reconstituted pulp wood instead of just thin strips of wood. The recon wood (basically sawdust) is bonded with resin just like Dymondwood but the percentage of resin would be much higher with this method making the product have similar working characteristics to an acrylic product like Kirinite. That's would be why they warn against using a dull belt or letting it get too hot ...

I think ray is right abut that stuff its pulp wood, however before I got my hands on a bunch of the dymond wood (I got 50 pairs really cheap) but before that I used the stuff in the link below twice and from what I can tell its a clone of the dymond wood if that's what your looking for

The dymalux is pretty much like dymondwood. All of the resin impregnated handle materials will burn if your belt is dull, I cannot tolerate the smell of the phenolic used in micarta if it even smells a little, I have to use a respirator for it and not just a good tuberculosis particle mask I get from my son. I use them mostly as they are more comfortable than a respirator.

I was just wondering if anyone had actually used the resinwood as I was wondering just precisely what it's "feel" is like and just how small the wood particles are. I would guess it may be different from micarta, G10 and dymondwood which are made from layers instead of particles. If nobody has used it I guess I'll just buy a pair of scales and try it just to see. Unfortunately they don't sell it in blocks.
