Talking Merry Christmas early!!! I told my boss to shove it!!!

Hey everybody,
I know I havn't posted in a while, but I'm happy to report that I'm now a full time knife/damascus maker. I'm now in the 20th year of making knives/damascus. Maybe now I can get to making some turkish damascus.
Merry Christmas everybody,
Del

Yah Del
Good on you! I really hope it works out for you. That damascus you sold me a couple of years ago was incredible.
Thanks
Steve

After getting laid off twice my eyes got opened to the fact that even when you work your hinny off and get promoted you can still be canned. The stress is just not worth it.

Thanks Guys,
I have realized over this year that there is no such thing as job security. So I decided why not do what I've felt called to do. I have a wife three young kids(girls) and a big fat mortgage. God will provide.
Del

A friend of mine was told by his boss (as he was quitting) that he was an idiot for going out on his own. He told the ex-boss, "Well, if I'm gonna work for an idiot, it might as well be one I respect."

Good luck!

Hope it works out for you Del. You know yourself and your situation better than anyone. I've been on my on for 25 years now building high end furniture. I do make and sell knives, but it's a small percentage of the overall picture so far. There are LOTS of knife makers out there in the world, increasing by the minute it seems. The fact that you are also providing something to the makers really helps out. I'm starting to sell Mesqiite scales, and it's a nice tidbit to have at the end of every month. I'm hoping all will go your way my friend!
