Well I'm not as quick as a lot of you but here is #2-

The pictures a little grainy, but it's an older digitial camera. Hey it works great outdoors.

Well the pics may be grainy and you claim to be 'slow'--but WHAT A KNIFE!!

There's a WHOLE lot of work involved in that handle alone. I'm interested in what you did and your materials and some of your procedures.

I think you have a lot you can teach us!!!!

Thanks for the exciting work!

Praise like that can go to my head to quickly!!!! Thank you. It's really appriacted, but I seen what is around here and I have a long way to go.

It's the Bullnose Skinner from Texas Knife with black paper micarta, black and white spacer material, and reconstituted malicite. I used the nickel silver bolsters and pins from the kit.

The biggest thing I learned from this is that Dremels are your best friends.

The one thing you can't see is that I drilled very shallowly into the malicite and cut the pins down to add extra strength. The stone is very brittle but it can dull a hacksaw or scroll saw blade in about 10 secs.

Really handsome knife!
I saw the pic of the green malachite on the back cover of my Texas Knifemaker catalog. It didn't occur to me that it could look that good in real application...surprisingly nice choice. B&W spacers set it off.

You've made me think that it's time for me to try a fixed blade kit (although I'll probably always prefer the folder kits...when you're done you get to carry them around and show 'em off to friends...too many "anti-friendly to fixed blade laws" around).
Good work Drac.
