A Big Bowie by Serapi?o from Brasil

Dear Friends,

I show you another knife that ended yesterday. It is a bowie 10" forged 5160 steel with 7.5 mm thick, approximately by 2" wide blade. The cable is the red deer horn with stainless guard and pommel.

Thanks for looking.

A hug to everyone.

I really like the knife!!

But, I do have a question, if I may.

How did you attach the pommel ? Due to a shadow on the pic showing the Pommel I could not tell how it was attached.

Great work!

Jeff

Jeff,

The pommel is attached to the ear by a "nut" elongated. At the tip of the spike is welded a bolt. The whole thing goes through the horn, and also for the epoxy resin. After you set the bone is machined to the final format.

A hug.
