Crazy Horse and His Randall Knife

At about 36 minutes into Episode 5, "Outlaw Rising", of Robert Redford's eight part mini-series "The American West" on AMC, Crazy Horse is brought to the fort ostensibly to discuss life on the reservation. When Crazy Horse realizes that he is being tricked into being thrown in jail, he does what anyone would do...he pulls his stag handled, Randall Model #1-7"!

LOL, dang sure looks like it. I wonder what type of blade logo stamp Randalls had back then? I can't make out if it was etched with his name...

It sure "looks" like a Randall, but the pic is so poor that a finite identification is not possible (It could be a Blackjack or other). However, without any further clarification I'm calling it a Randall "just because"!

It's a shame that copies and counterfeits are so pervasive that there is even a question. However, this is a genuine Randall. I spoke with Gary and he told me the actor has bought a few knives from the shop including the Model #1-7" pictured.
