Question I Need Help In Deciding If I Should By This Knife Or Not!

I am thinking about buying this knife and need your help.
The knife is made of premium clad Damascus steel with a VG-10 core and 16 layers of 410 on each side of the blade. The RC is 62-64. The handle is polished linen Micarta. It includes a custom -design Kydex sheath specifically for this knife. The price is $280.00...is it worth it? I?m not sure if I posted this before, if so, I apologize but I have received no replies. I really need some opinions on this one. It?s a huge purchase for me...Thanks!

That's a nice looking nice for sure. Is it worth it? Only you can answer that, but it doesn't seem unreasonable to me for a nicely made damascus knife. I happen to like Micarta also, so maybe I'm biased. It also looks to be very practical also, so all together, I would say "YES"!

I would look into the maker. Find out what his/her usual market is, what their pieces go for and what people who USE their knives have to say. $280 doesn't sound unreasonable for a knife custom knife, but without knowing who made it or what their reputation is, it's hard to say yes, buy it. It is a neat looking knife.

Can you tell us the name of the maker? Have you handled this knife or is it an internet only purchase? Have you handled/seen other knives by the same maker or do you have any reliable opinions on their work?
