Brown Linen Micarta? anyone?

Dear Forum viewers:

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I desperately need a set of brown linen Micarta? handle scales, you know, about 4 1/2" x 1 1/2 x 3/8", or so.

Please let me know if you have some that you might be able to spare, along with cost.

Thanks, Steve

ARGHHHHH.........

I had a slab of it that Troy Koval gave me years ago....dark brown, right?

I used it a few months ago on a fighter.....before that, it sat under the bench for about 10 years.

At first, I thought it was maroon linen that had darkened.

Steve, I have some brown *canvas* micarta... doubt if that is what you are looking for, but it's available if you want it.

Thanks, Don. But, nope, it has to be linen. I appreciate your offer. Maybe I'll come back for some sometime, I like that brown canvas.

Best, Steve

If it were me, I'd charge him an SRJ knife for it

I ain't got no knives on hand so that idea is out. You'll have to take knotty pine handle material in trade. It works good for starting a fire in a survival situation, 'course you have to breatk if off of the tang, then make a fuzz stick with the handle, find some flint and start making sparks, 'course, again, the SS blade won't make much of a spark, so it won't work. 'Course you have to find some tider, unless you ahve sme sttl wool in your pocket, or lint in your....

I'll pay you for the Micarta?! Deal!

We have enough Micarta? on the way to meet my needs. Thanks for your help everyone! Especially Mike Mill and Ron Duncan!
