Great Guild Meeting

That was a great meeting we had yesterday. I really enjoyed the demos. Chris did an excellent job with the kydex.

Had a great time and learned a few things. Can't wait till the next one.

I gotta say that the meetings seem to be getting better and better. For a time there the meetings were getting kind of stale and almost lifeless. Attendance was a little down, too. I'm very happy to see things picking up. Meetings like this one are what really helps to keep the excitement about knifemaking going full steam ahead.

The demos were great, now if we could just get some members to respect the people giving the demos and go outside to talk it would be perfect.

I think people only watch part of a demo and when it comes to a part that they all ready know about they lose interest , But there is always a couple that hang with you to the end of the demo. And I tried to show them and make sure they under stand what and why I'm doing what I'm doing . And I don't think I'm very good at showing a group of knifemakers anything. I'v been stumbling through making knives for about 24 years and I'm just learning things that newbees have been doing from the start.
