Laser engraving & marking
Hey guys I am starting my own laser engraving/cutting business, it really doesn?t have anything to do with knife making but I wanted to ask anyway, would anyone be interested in what I can do?
I can put makers marks on blades, do some really nice relief work on almost all handle materials (sorry no stone) and can cut leather and kydex for sheaths as well as put relief work and even pictures on leather and wood. If anyone is interested post back here and I will put up a link to my market research questionnaire. Link to questionnaire: http://tinyurl.com/LaserQ Also am I posting in the right forum? Is there a better place to post with more traffic? Here are some samples of what the laser can do? Here is one of a log round with a raster image cut into the surface This one is of a map on leather (the original image they used for the map must have been low resolution) the second is a closeup Some engraved wood and marked steel Some raster checking This is black anodized aluminium that has been marked with high resolution raster images. The max resolution of the laser in raster mode is 1200 DPI ! Last edited by Peldor; 06-28-2009 at 06:58 PM. |

Would be very intrested, but Im afraid for just for a logo, it might be cost prohibitive. Just a thought. But the options seem limitless! Please keep the information coming!
