Simple hunter w/ maple burl and hamon

Here's another commissioned piece. I've been getting orders for a lot of these lately. This is my standard 'Green Canyon Hunter' model. This is, to my mind, a great all around size and shape for a hunting knife.

Specs:

1095 steel, clay quenched
8 1/4" overall, 3 1/2" sharp, .120" thick
Stabilized maple burl scales
Nickel silver pins


This does have a filed thumb grip and contoured scales that I didn't get a picture of.

Thanks Bing. This one has way more activity than I could capture in the pics. And I didn't polish it out to a super high polish where if you look at it sideways, it scratches.

This is just an 800 grit finish with a few etch cycles and hardly any polishing at all. There is some really crazy wispy activity between the main line and that little spot near the tip. You can kind of see the stuff in the pics. It looks like the blade is dirty but it's not.

I know one thing for sure: this is pretty good for a stock removal blade. My forged blades have WAY more activity than I can get with stock removal.
