Can you tell us how these nice sheathes were finished? I like the rich color and finish. What type of thread was used for the stitching?
Thanks for sharing these well-crafted sheathes with us. |

Kurt, thanks so much. Have to thank Paul Long for advise and a word of encouragement once in a while.
Sending you a PM Of course Paul might not want to admit that he was responsible for this work. LOL __________________ If you always do what you always did, you always get what you already got !!!! Last edited by trav; 11-01-2013 at 04:33 PM. |

Tray I always follow your work with great interest! Fine pair of knives and I love the sheath work. Paul Long is the man and I don't know what he told you but those have a great finish on them! I don't think by what I am seeing he would mind you saying that he gave words of "advise and a word of encouragement once in a while"!
Your work is indeed fine. I just I could figure out how to get a finished product that looks as good as that!!! Try as I might mine are coming up short for that kind of look! __________________ C Craft Customs With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down ! If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner! C Craft |

C Craft, Thanks so much for that great compliment. There are a few tricks and I would love to share them with you.I am almost to the point that I would rather build the sheath than the knife. Sending you PM. Thanks again. Trav
