Lock back whittler

This is a fun knife to make and it took me forever to get it finished. CPM-154 integral 416 liners and bolsters and jigged bone handles.

Thanks for looking

Craig

Don't think I have ever seen a lockback in that style of folder. Great work! I had a store bought, like that when I was a kid. I think it was a Case but, went out on my trapline and had a pair of pants on the had a hole in the pocket. When I discovered it missing I walked the entire trapline looking for it. Watch for it all winter and never saw it again!

If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner!

Nice work Craig. Sorry about your loss C Craft, take comfort in knowing that your not alone in the "hole in the pocket club".

Great looking whittler, Craig.
I am looking at making one and I like your design, Did you come up with it yourself or did you have a pattern. Any other info on it would be gratefully received.
Cheers Mark

Thanks everyone.

The main blade locks and the 2 smaller blades are slip joints. I have a pattern I will try a scan for you Madwilson.

A fantastic knife. I love slipjoints, and am just starting to build some, just for myself. I have fallen in love with this pattern of lockback whittler. I am hoping to be able to make one of these when I have mastered the slipjoint mechanics.
Truly admire your ability to pull this one off.

That is awesome! I would love to try my hand at making a whittler, but have thus far been quite intimidated. That is very nice work!
