DDR3-BL safety - possible to buy them anywhere?

I have six of these DDR3-BL kits to make and give as gifts next fall but am now seeing the downside to this "button lock" design, basically that they unlock from folded very easily in a pocket or even on a belt clip. Also can unlock unfolded too. There's no way I can give these away in an unsafe condition like this. Especially since I want the recipients to be able to carry and actually use them.

I thought about including pouches with them but that seems to defeat the purpose of a locking folder to me. And it's still not reliably locked unfolded.

A metal safety is really what I need but I haven't found anyone who makes them. Making them myself just isn't an option for me, I have already gone way over budget in time/energy with this project. Does anyone have any ideas?
