Four Andys already? I guess I'll be the first Kurt - Kurt Huhn.

I've already got a neat idea or two.

Well I got my desgim drawn up and measured out etc and just ordered my supplies needed from jantz. I know most neck knives Ive seen or either a small tactical/self defense type or a smaller neck version of a skinner etc.. Well Ive decided to go with something completely different and make the sheath almost more important to the look and feel the the knife itself which should be a straight forward useful small utility knife.

Hey guys,
Here is a WIP video I made for my KITH contribution. So far I'm basically done with all of the rough grinding and pre-heat treat prep work.

The blade steel is 1095, and I haven't decided on handle material, though it will be micarta or G10. The sheath will be kydex, but that's the last step I like do do after everything else is done and sharpened up.

I think I'm actually gonna make at least 1 or 2 more similar knives because I do like to make 2 to 4 knives at a time if I can. It's more efficient and saves electricity when heat treating. Besides, I've been wanting to make myself a necker too!

Stay tuned for more updates!

Feel free to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already to catch the next update that I do. I'll post it in this thread as well, just in case...

Welcome everybody, but especially mike with his first post on knife network.

Oooh, and would anyone be interested in heat treating a 1095 blade with theirs? I still can't do heat treat and I'd like to do a high carbon blade for this one.
