Next?

Morning all,

Checked with Andy now that the Throw Me a Bone KITH is winding down I am going to throw up a recruitment thread for the next KITH.

I was hoping to run the Kitchen KITH Part Duex. We had a lot of fun on the last one and turned out some really nice pieces. It can be any kitchen tool and the kitchen can be an outdoor one, Carl did a sweet pig?s tail turner.

The Throw Me a Bone KITH should be winding down about Aug-ish so how about we take a month off and start some time after the Labor Day holidays?

Here is a list of some ideas we came up with last time:

classic chef's (French)
boning
paring
steak
carving sets, knife & fork
cleavers
ulu
sushi or any other Japanese kitchen knife
pig's tail
garnish knife
bread knife
butter knife
fillet knife
pizza cutter, rocking or roller

Again as always it is about fun and stretching you skills!!!!!!

Jim

Jim that is a good idea. I have thinking about trying a kitchen knife, so this would be a good chance.

This should be exciting! My mother-in-law has requested some kitchen knives, so this fits in really well. Count me in!

I JUST finished profiling three steak knives for my wife. She's been after me for a long time to get these done, so I got dirty tonight.

I also flat sanded about thirty sets of scales back from stabilizing at River Ridge Products. It occured to me, that I don't know what type of wood a few sets are. I've just had the stuff for so long and they lost their labels somewhere along the way.

I guess I'll use at least one of these on our steak knives..., can't really sell it if I don't know what it is.

Perhaps another set will make an appearance on the knife I offer in this KITH

I hope no one minds--besides..., a little mystery is fun!

I've made a few karadashi's that stared out as bowies.

I think that 4 people should be enough to at least get it started.

I'll post a new "official" thread a couple weeks before we start for recruiting.
