RIP : Neil Charity

Hi Folks,

It's with much regret that I have to announce to you that one of our founding members, Neil Charity, has passed. He was very ill for several years and was not able to recover.

For those of you that had the chance to meet Neil, you'll remember him as one of the greats from Down Under. I always accused him of being the prototype for "Crocodile Dundee". Neil was a "real" man's man ... and was a very accomplished knife maker.

Neil ... have a safe journey, mate!!! We'll miss you brother!!!

If anyone want's to drop his family a line, his address is ncknives@optusnet.com.au

Alex

This truely is a sad day.

Neil was a true gentleman that always was very polite and treated everyone with dignity. I noticed he has not been around much and knew he was not doing well but hoped for a longer and happier life for Neil.

Prayers go out to him and his family. He will be missed and remembered.

A friend to all people, we lost a good man.

Rest in Peace Neil. I know you had a rough time the last few years. I benifited greatly from your posts and information on lock backs. You will be missed. Such a kind, knowledgable man.

I have known Neil for a long time, he has fought a hard battle, the journey has only begun! You can now rest easy my brother. He was a great inspiration to everyone who knew him. Any one that wishes to email his daughter Melissa and his wife Dot can do so here at melissacharity@optusnet.com.au

That is sad
I remember Neil as a bloke you could ring or email for advise and he would always find the time to help you.
The Australian (and indeed international) knifemaking community has lost a real friend

RIP Neil.
Before Neil got sick, he was very active, especially helping out newbies. Great guy. My best to his family. He deserves it.
