Smile Does anyone like one over the other....

Blue dykem is better than red dykem or visa versa. Or no difference. If you have a favorite, can you tell why? I know it depends on the person but from knowledge is there one you like better. I use a sharpie(red & black) and some times it 's hard to see. Just wondering. Thanks Guys/Gals. Have a good week.

I've never used anything but blue, never saw any need for anything else. I don't see red as being a problem particularly as long as it's dark enough. After all, seems to me you're looking at the shiny line scratched into the dye and not the dye itself....

Thumbs up

Yeah thanks Ray,
I ordered blue , was just wondering. Sharpie doesn't seem to get dark enough for my eyes.
Thanks

I've always used blue myself, but that stems from my days in a machining, thats what they had. But like Ray said I suppose as long as it's dark enough. Although I think you made the right choice, I think blue would be easier to see, but in all honesty it's probably negligible.

I've used mostly blue and red a few times. I find the scribe lines to be more visible with the blue. Maby the red does have a specific use but I think it really personal preference.

Red will hide the blood spots better, but does look a little disconcerting to visitors if you knock the open can over on your bench or onto the floor.

I have something in a spray can called stencil ink. After I bought it I realized I'm not even sure that's what It's for. It's blue though and it seems to word okay.

Most any color for me works well I have even used A mild Solution of Vinegar & water when etching and just wiped it dry (it leaves the steel some what black ) and do my scribe lines also the browning solution makes them brown of course . when it is a Non Etching Metal Blue or Black Sharpie wedge cut pen works well .
