Hey Tai, I was wondering, how well does the cork hold up to use and abuse, and do you deal or preserve it in any way?

It's great for use, but not *abuse*. It is intended to hold the blade by, nothing more. It's left untreated for the best wet and/or dry grip. It has an amazing set of properties that no other handle material offers. It has been used for handles on fishing poles and various tools for a long time.
Amazing properties of cork: http://www.corklink.com/index.php/th...rties-of-cork/ http://thematking.com/business_indus...eview-2005.pdf I do not recommend abusing any knife. |

Poor choice of words on my part. Perhaps, daily use and wear? Thanks for the info. Fascinating stuff. I always learn new things when perusing your work.
