DDR3BR Scales?

I just ordered a couple of DDR3's. It said under cocobolo wood scales that they needed spacer material under them. I asked if all the wood handle scales needed spacers and the very friendly gal said yes, but she didn't know why. So I ask here. Why? Are the wood scales to thin?

I'm surprised the gal at knifekits couldn't give you a definitive answer....That's not like them.

I knew that their man-made scales were 1/8" thick and therefore required a liner spacer...but I hadn't heard anything about the wood scales being too thin. I'm sure someone will come along shortly to confirm this.

Hi,

Sorry for the confusion. Previously we were using a thinner cocobolo scale. Since then, we've standardized to a .25 cocobolo scale thickness. I've updated the site.

Thank you for reporting this.
