Gun Kote 2400 and 3400

I have been testing some knives coated with 2400 and 3400 series Gun Kote. Gun Kote says the 3400 is supposed to be the best for knives. It defiantly is harder to scratch, but even the flat finishes is rather shiny and dull spots show up rather quickly when chopping. I have not pre treated with the K Phos yet and was wondering what experience others have had with either of these products and if the K Phos adds a noticeable amount of durablilty?
The 2400 colors defiantly look better and many more color choices.

I used GunKote once. I had unsatisfactory results--it may have been a misstep in their complicated prep sequence.

For the few coated knives I make these days, I use Duracoat. Hundreds of colors are available and no bake is required.

Yeah there defiantly more steps to the Gun Kote / Cerakote type of finishes, but the end result looks better IMO, and seems to be more durable. Still trying to figure it all out.
