How to do Ferral on antler

Hello There, Have made a couple knives now and need some more help in my next step. I want to put a 1/2" wide N/S ferral between N/S guard and elk antler handle. What is the best and easiest way to fit that ferral onto the antler handle without sanding the brown color off the antler. I'd like it all to fit smoothly. What thickness material should I use for the ferral. Am assuming I should high-temperature solder the ferral joint somehow? Just wondering how to get the ferral to fit and same shape as antler???? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Greg PS, not sure how to attach a photo here yet but it I do, will attach a photo of last Bowie that would be a good example of what I'm talking about. PSS, if anyone can tell me how to attach a photo to this note, please do!

I blank it out, put small pins in it, and holes in the antler or vise vera scratch the outline as close as you can (if your putting the antler grooves in) or finish it off the piece then fit it up and glue it. Not sure why or what you think you need to solder. Do a search for "take down knife" youll find all the info you need
