As a way of introducing myself
Hello everyone!
My name is Jesus Hernandez and I live in Huntsville, Alabama. I have been making blades for over a year now. I have posted some of those at Don Fogg's forum and I have just started to feel comfortable with my work to start showing it to other blade makers. As a way of introducing myself I am going to to display here a few pictures of what I have been doing lately. This a sanmai tanto, clay coated and water quenched. http://home.comcast.net/~jeshern/pic...des/tanto2.jpg This is a cable damascus bowie with amboyna handle. http://home.comcast.net/~jeshern/pic...lades/bow2.jpg This is a dagger with the AYASUGI hada of the Gassan school of Japanese swordsmiths. http://home.comcast.net/~jeshern/pic...es/dagger1.jpg This is my interpretation of a kukri in 1600 layers of steel. http://home.comcast.net/~jeshern/pic...des/kukri1.jpg Thank you for looking. |

Thank you everyone! I did not realize that most people will be out in Atlanta for the Blade show.
I started making knifes last Spring. I have many things to learn but I am loving it. |

Great work, for someone who's making knives for such a short time. I really love your tanto (great hamon) and the twin tigers.

What an amazing way to debut here ! Welcome and make sure you don't keep us in suspense. Post pictures regularly, I especially like the tanto - that hamon is - well, TASTY ! There is an air of authenticity to it. Jason.
