No one expects the Spanish "notch" inquisition....
I liked doing the first one so much I thought I would try another.
I think I'm gonna call these Bronson Bowies. Forged L-6 saw blade with Birdseye Maple. Let me know what you think...good or bad :evil Mace __________________ ABS Journeyman Smith www.laurelrockforge.com "Ain't nothing more useless than a dull knife or a short piece of rope" |

Both great looking blades, but the bottom knife is really outstanding.
The 'distressed' look of the bottom blade shouts "Working Blade". The transition between the blade and handle is gorgeous. The handle pin-pattern and attractive wood is elegant. The notch pattern is by far a more effective and immediate method of recognizing the maker than routinely stamping your name on the blade. This is one of the most attractive big-blade knives I've seen - not just another pretty face. |

Those are both really nice looking pieces Mace. The bottom one has that slight drop in the blade that is easy to miss but I think just gives it the edge over the top one on looks. I'd be more than happy with either

Thanks for the comments guys! The specs on the one on the bottom are 12 3/4" OAL with about a 7 1/2" cutting edge about 2 1/4" wide...the top one was just a hair smaller(never did get the chance to put a tape to it...it sold yesterday)
I just put the bottom one up for sale over in the makers sales forum......and it comes with a sheath too. Again, Thanks! Hope you guys like the sheath. Mace __________________ ABS Journeyman Smith www.laurelrockforge.com "Ain't nothing more useless than a dull knife or a short piece of rope" |
