Quenching Question
While heat treating a large blade today, I foind out the hard way that my quenchant was not deep enough! By the time I could flip the blade around, it developed a blue line at the oil level.....I got it flipped and quenched and the blade is currently tempering.....any thoughts on this quench line affecting the blade?

Yes. You need to re-do it. It will not have reached full hardness,
