blade length 9.5 cm - 3.74"
closed length 12 cm - 4.73"

I really like the knife and the file work, excellent work!

But, I may get crucified for saying this, but I believe that knife would look better with a dark green to black handle for more contrast between the blade and filework. Don't get me wrong your handle work was great!!

That is just my opinion.

I would be proud to own that knife, I would just like a darker handle.

Thank You, for taking my post as it was intended, as just a opinion.

I was just wondering when doing your file work, do you work off hand and by eye, or do you make a pattern and measure everything out ?

Regardless of the method you use, your knifes are well executed and a beauty to look at.

Great Work!

Jeff

I realized filework the eye, without schemes (so I can better express my creativity)

Thanks again for the praise

I am glad to know that.

I have a issue of being too structured, wanting everything measured, everything exact. It took me almost the first 5 years of fly tying for me to get over that.

I found it very hard to measure out dimensions on a size 28 trout fly, without a microscope. Now after almost 40 yrs of tying, I need a microscope just to tie a size 6. ROFL

Now I am going through the same thing with file work. So its nice to hear from all you guys that it can be done by eye, without any set patterns.

I still like to look at patterns to get ideas and to learn from. So please overlook me if I ask a lot of questions.

Thanks, Again to all !!

Jeff
