J. Russell and Co. Poured Pewter fittings

I stumbled across this and thought it was just to good not to share a view.

This is one of the nicest examples of poured pewter bolsters and endcap I have seen.

Currently for auction on eBay.

if you want to see some pretty work on poured fittings go to the historic arkansas museum & look for the fishtail bowie style knife i donated to the museum. i sorta helped them start their collection . they have several knives that used to belong to me before my finances went south. lol any way they have a nice collection now . tom

Hello Tom

Welcome to the forums. Where in Arkansas is this museum? It may be a needed detour on a cross country trip.

Do you have any photographs of this knife you can show us.

I am in the design process of poured bolsters and an interested in all types of examples of poured bolsters and pommels.

Thank you, Tony
