blue finish on damascus
anyone know how the birchwood casey super blue will perform on 1095 and 15N20?

good but a better way ,that i have done would be using your etching machine on the black side this is a oxcide that won`t rust then sand the high points will hold up better . bowie

so the electro chemical etching machines? then just lightly polish? That sounds way to easy.

clean knife blade with astone dont touch blade with your bear hands it will forme a oil on the blade and it won`t work , place a good amount of electro ething on the cotton pad,slide the pad doun the blade at a even pace ,do both the same amount so they will look the same after you get the color you want sand dont buff the hight points with 2000 grit wet and dry paper sorry for spelling ill get the spell check up soon

thanks, that's what ive been looking for. gives me a good reason now to buy an etcher (dont have one currently) also been wanting something to a logo on the blades and that will do it nicely I think.
