Looking to find a supplier of this steel, in widths and thickness, that can be used for knife blades. TIA!

To my knowlage S5 is more a "spring-steel" than "tool steel".(one of the tool applications might be jackhammer bits)
Here in Antwerp I can get it from a company specialized in springs for trucks. They sell standard replacement flat and coil springs, but can make special springs on request.They can order the annealed flat bars from their supplier . sizes start there from 1/4"x1.5" (6x40mm) length 20'.price last year: approx. 2.5? (USD) per kg= 27 USD per 20ft 8x45mm was 40 USD per 20ft (without 21%VAT) I hope this helps Jan
