Rise fall indicator dimensions?

I have finally gotten a good enough working relationship with a local machinist that he has agreed to help me make a rise/fall indicator for around $40. However, I've only seen pictures, and never with any kind of dimensions. We could probably figure it out, but I'd really like to make this as easy on him as possible. I really need to make this to get my slipjoints spot on. If you've got one that you made or bought, could you post the dimensions? I'll try not to copy anything exactly, but I don't even have a starting point.

Mine is 4"x6-8" size is not that critical you are looking for repeatability

once you put that blade and spring in it it doesn't move while you file blade and or spring the indicator is no problem just rezero but the pins need to stay in the same place

I'm not an expert but the size doesn't matter as long as you get the blade and spring on it

I used to make those for sale. Frank Niro did too.

I'm in a rehab hospital recovering from a slight stroke, so I can't give you the dimensions.

PM Frank Niro. He'll help you.

If you can get a plate and dial indicator for $40.00 that one heck of deal.

Dimensions: 4 x 8 x .325
Dimensions: 6 1/2 x 8 x .325 with Dial

Hope this helps.
