Why not..... I'm in. I have to admit I'll have to look at some old threads to figure out what a "Christmas themed" knife may look like. I guess I could use some green micarta with red spacers..... or maybe some stabilized holly.... maybe a ham carver.... or something to cut through those annoying twist ties on kids gifts... This is going to be fun!

So what is a Christmas Theme in a knife. The only thing I can think of would be a skinner for the last deer of the season.
What is the deadline for signing up? |

Sorry guys
I haven't been ignoring you all. I had two weeks of military duty, than a trip out of town for Labor Day and now I'm headed back out for five more days of military in San Diego.
I'd say about another week for the offical sign ups but I've never known our threads to turn someone away Jim __________________ I cook with a flair for the dramatic, and depraved indifference to calories |

I managed to get started on mine - so far only one reindeer has been sacrificed. It's amazing how they're drawn so strongly to the smell of fruitcake.

Kurt,
That's animal cruelty. You know that baiting any living creature with fruit cake is against the Geneva Convention and rates way above water boarding. Jim __________________ I cook with a flair for the dramatic, and depraved indifference to calories |

Well, in my defense, I was sitting out on the back deck testing the first fruitcake crop of the season and trying to decide if it should be doused with rum or whiskey. I heard a noise, turned around, and saw a reindeer charging up the hill brandishing a thick froth around its nose. Luckily I had my VZ24 handy (the better to harvest fruitcake with), so yelled at the top of my voice "IT'S COMING RIGHT AT US!!" and humanely dispatched the rabid animal. Clearly the only proper thing to do given the circumstances.
