Beautiful nude scrim work within...

Folks,

This delightful little fixed blade is made by an unknown maker named Steve Ross. (unknown to me, anyway ) It's a little guy at only 5 ?" OAL.

My talented friends Wayne and Karen Reno from Colorado both did their respective handiwork. Wayne makes knives and does a LOT of engraving, and his wife Karen does scrim work and beaded sheaths, etc.

Her work has ALWAYS been tasteful and not trashy. This piece is a great example of just how beautiful this form of art can be.

Nude Content ? Viewer Discretion! Click here.

I like how many curves there are in the overall package. Look at that grind. Hey, the sheath is fine as well!

You can see more of the Reno's work at their website:

Coop,
Very cool! The Renos' Art Of The Rockies site is quite interesting across the board. Knives, yes! - but also classic cars, antiques and other stuff. Their talent and artistry gets all over everything they touch! Great resource - I've bookmarked their site. Once again, Coop, you've gone beyond just 'Here, look at this.' and actually opened a door for anyone who might be interested to walk through and enter another world! Thanks! BT

Well done all around Coop!
Karen's work ranks right up there with the best.
Thanks for sharing.

I'm not much for most engraving, but I do love a nice scrimshaw - and nudes are among the finest subjects.

I met Wayne Reno years ago, through a listing on eBay that I followed up on. He had an VERY sleek and interesting knife that closed with no bidders. I kept coming back to it. ####, it was nice!

About a month later I called him and asked about that knife he had for sale. Yup, he still had it. He offered it to me at the listing price again. Ok, says I. I've never heard of this fellow named Hill Pearce before but I'll take it....

The rest is well-documented...!

Nice work, from everybody involved.

Nothing like a beautiful woman adorning a beautiful knife, if only to illustrate the potential danger of the two.

What a sentence!

My background was intentional, considering the 'fiery' discussion we had over this in the past.
