Power Hammer - $1500 in Denver

Hi Gang,,

A friend of mine alerted me about a "CrackerJack" #1 power hammer that , just yesterday, appeared in
the Denver Craiglist (tools section). Looks to be in good shape and $1500 is about as cheap as I've seen a power listed. I'm guessing it's an equivalent of the Little Gaint 25lb?

I'd jump on it but I am REALLY limited for space and would prefer buying a press first.

Anyhow, figured I'd let the "gang" know.

Take care,
Dana

Dana, or anyone in the know...

I'm within 50 miles and have a big pick up and a 6'5" son with many friends! I tried "googleing" to find more info on this particular make but came up empty handed. If anyone can direct me to a web site etc. I'd like to do a little research before I buy a "pig in a poke". I realize that any working power hammer at this price is a steal, but if it is truly a one of a kind, unlike the Little Giant which now has aftermarket parts being made, I'd like to know before hand. Any info appreciated ASAP so I can jump on it if it makes sense.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Wayne!

I tried searching the internet as well and found nothing. Might be worth
running this by the folks in the other forums, and/or, perhaps the ABANA
site?

Thanks,
Dana

Happy to help; it took a bit of looking for, it was buried.

However looking at that monster, I have a friend who moved a milling machine that was built similarly, moving that was UUUGLY.

My best wishes for anyone brave enough to try.

J
