Back from Blade

I finished this one up a few hours before I drove up to the show. My first switch...a D/A with Chuck Hawes Harley Chain Damascus blade, Damascus bolsters and mother of pearl scales. the design is new and I call it the Argonaut.

Great looking folder...that blade steel has got a real "liquid/nautical" feel to it. Good looking combination.

Very nice indeed Bob, I bet you didn't bring it home from Blade

It's lucky autos are banned over here or I'd want that one

Hey, good work Bob!

You're getting pretty darn versatile! This one has a number of unique shapes and design characteristics. Give us the rundown on it's whereabouts....

It's lonely and waiting for a new home. I didn't have a table at the show so I wasn't really trying to sell. I just wanted to socailze and learn, which I did in a major way.

I am happy with the design in general. I can use it for a tactical knife or something dressier.

Dang, that's a beauty Bob. I was at the Blade Show. I wish to heck I'd been able to bump into you. Oh well, maybe next year.

Terry, did you have a table? I was actively looking for people and still couldn't link up with everyone. It can be a mad house.

No, I was just socializing. I did look at the program to see if you had a table. I saw a lot of folks that I already know pretty well, and found a few of the CKD guys for a first time meeting.

There were quite a few guys who were looking for me as I was looking for them, but our paths never crossed. That's a big place.

Bob

I think that is a real milestone knife for you. You have been making some really lovely knives lately but that particular one has more character than any that you've done yet. It simply looks right, as if changing anything would only diminish it. Stunning!

That could only have been done by you.

I got to meet Bob at Blade and handle this knife. I must say the knife is great looking but what you can't tell from here is that the action and feel are right-on as well.

Satisfying!
