Transformation time in quenching process for hardening deepness

Hi!

I know that as the transformation time in cooling process is greater the curve of the TTT diagram is displaced to the left. But I don?t have any idea of how this affect the hardening depth, I am sure that the greater the time the deeper the hardening depth.

With all the best

Marco

The greater the TTT curve is to the right the deeper the depth of heat penitration will be. The Jominy end quench is used for a more direct measurement of depth of hardening but those scales are not as easy to come by as IT/TTT diagrams.
