Nice knife, why do you have the button if it is a liner lock. Couldn't you use the button for a button lock? What is the diameter of the button and how did you make it?
Thanks for showing us.
Steve

Steve. How are you?
I believe the leaf spring is used to move over and hold the blade open .

Frank
I am fine, my surgery is not for another month at least.
I was wondering what the button is for.
The liner locks it open. Why not use the button to lock it open?
Steve

A friend of mine showed me three "systems" he was using. Two were with the liner to lock open. I guess it's just "one" way.
Your surgery is a big deal Steve. No doubt about that, but the doctors doing these things are doing them almost every day. I'm sure you will recover well !!! Frank.

Are you saying that the button is used to unlock the liner in order to close the knife? It looks like the button is near the top of the knife, does that mean that your lock is on the upper side of the blade as well? I am not sure how that would work. Very interesting!.
Thanks
Steve
