I had an order for one of my books from Alaska a few weeks ago.
I tracked the mail and it got stuck in Dallas, so I waited a few days and the tracking said it was still in Dallas. Then the guy in Alaska emailed me and said he hadn't received the book, so I sent him another one. Both arrived at the same time about 3 weeks later. Nothing wrong with the address. No, I'm not really mad. I'm accustomed to it. It takes a full 7 days for most first class mail from outside Texas to reach me down here on the border. The US Post Office thinks Brownsville, Texas is in Mexico. I'm surprised the mail doesn't go thru customs before I get it. Anyways, why don't you guys participate in this TKCA forum more???? We should talk to each other. |

I haven't got mine yet but it maybe because I moved about 3 weeks ago.

I thought it was odd that it was stamped "McAllen"! Our mail is hit or miss up here.
Talk? No way, man. First it'll start with a bit of posts, then lead to full blown disussions. Sooner or later, it's bound to lead into the free exchange of information and ideas. It might even end up a full blown "place to hang out" **GASP**. Sooner or later we all might even become good friends and meet up at a hammer-in, or knife show. Then...then..it would just snowball from there...membership would increase as the word got out, more information and ideas would be posted...people would even have fun! Shhhhh....*whisper*...some of those non-TX persons might even come by and add to the knowledge base...shhhhh! |

looking forward to seeing you guys up here in July. Does anyone have the contact info for tables? And dates would be nice I guess. Dates of the show Don Halter, I'm married!
Have you been having any hammer-in's at your place this year? I knew Chris was thinking about it but didn't hear anymore about it. Bill |

Ha! Ha! there WAS a comma in between the two. Just had to explain that we didn't need dates (girls) for the show, you know, he's (Don H) is an aggie employee! And been exposed to all that radioactive material down there in south Texas.
But seriously, I did have fun at his place last year at a hammer-in. He let me hammer on some metael in his forge (first time I did that) and we experimented with some bluing salt (didn't work that day) and I met some nice guys like Chris Daigle, and a few others that I don't remember their screen names but they are on here as well. If you like middle ages armour, he does that too. So yeah, we have a lot of guys we could learn from right here in Texas. Bill |

Shhh....don't let my wife know I got married again! hah.
Hey Don....middle aged armour, senior years and even infant chain maille. I can hook you up! We haven't had a hammer-in in a while. I've been gone almost every weekend and haven't even sent out any emails in a while. May is pretty tight, but I was thinking about the third weekend in may possibly (19th...or maybe the 26th). I'll be in Houstonall of June teaching and don't know what my schedule will be then. Not that others couldn't get one going without me at someone else's place if needed. P.S. I haven't worked for A&M in over two years! Gosh, you marry a guy and you think they know you....... |

Don, my armor would have to be made of paper. My body couldn't support anything heavier.
