A new Rainpup!

At the ripe ol' age of 44, I'm a Dad once again. Cheyenne Renee ("I'll take an E, Chuck") was born today (01/03), a month early, at 5 lbs, 6 oz. Mother and child are doing fine.

Way to go Gary! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Glad to hear all went well and that there's another Rainpup on the planet.

I hope you're planning to start training Cheyenne Renee early about the wonders of RMK.

Cheers!

Moosehead

P.S. Stay healthy, cuz remember when you turn sixty, you'll have a full-fledged teenage girl to deal with...

Gary,

Congrats!

It sure is nice to see that I am not the only one who had a "Young one" late in life! It sure gives you a great reason to get up in the morning. "I'm hungry". My youngest is 8, and when I'm 60 (wow)? she'll be 18.

Are you going to get her a RKS membership? Maybe Rhett can Cheyenne the "early bird Special"

How about ordering her a nice model 26 with a model 25 handle for her?

Again Congrats from all of your friends here that share a love for Randalls!

Kent

Congratulations Gary! I loved the "I'll take an "e" Chuck"!
She'll keep you young and in top shape for years to come. My forty year old son has a daughter 5 and a 6 month old baby sister for her. What a trip! First girls born in my family for 5 generations of boys.

My congratulations and best wishes to Mom, you and the rest of the family.

Parenting as "old people" is the only thing we've know - we had been married for 18 years and were both 41 when the first arrived and 44 when #2 showed up. We're now closing in on 46. Yes, we are done.

I sometimes find it a llitte wierd to ask for parenting advice from someone still in their 20's, but hey you go where the experience is.

The most interesting part has been responding to questions like - are you the babysitter? Nice kids, where are their parents? And the drop off at preschool is a hoot - we have more in common with the grandparents than the parents.

I hope you find doing it as an old(er) guy as satisfying as I have.

Good luck!

That's scary! I was thinking the same thing. I contacted The Captain in November about ordering two knives to honor both my daughters. Both model 26s with 25 handles. Jasmine (my older daughter) would get an ironwood insert and Cheyenne would get a polished stag insert.

I'm glad that you mentioned it because with Christmas and the birth, I haven't sent him the order yet and I need to get it out.

Gary,

You sure have a right to be proud. I have two daughters and I couldn't be happier.

Congratulations and best,

Ron
